Well, that's today. I find it hard to belive, but yet, after four long years of RSCHS, here it is. =/

Ever since I walked into RSCHS, I felt out of place, awkward, and as if I didn't belong. I can remember how I spent my first day of high school during lunch period. I had found cast-off place in the common's area. And there, I read. Reading is what I used to do to escape the world I was surrounded by. Especially if I was uncomfortable. I used that method until around tenth grade, when I found no desire to read, read, and read. Instead, I found joy in art.

I took my first art class in the first semester of my freshmen year. I can honestly say that I sucked, truly sucked. I do not know what possesed me to take Art II that very next year, but I signed up for it, and got into the class. The same could have been said for Art III, which was an honors course.

However, when I look back on it, although I struggled with those first two art classes, I must have had the determination that I WAS going to get better at drawing, eventually. Now that I am in Art IV, I can say that the determination paid off. Yesterday, I had a secret accomplishment while in Art IV.

I have been trying to draw Moka Akashiya from Rosario+Vampire for a long while now. My first several attempts were utter epic failures, which is why they are not on here. However, I found this lovely picture of Moka-san on google images. She is asleep, without her rosary, in her vampiric form. It is an absolutely lovely picture of her. Well...I got determined that I was going to draw it.

And draw I did.

In less than half an hour, there she lay in my sketchbook. I was so happy that I had that accomplishment. The picture that I am talking about will be on here very soon, for I am still putting the finishing touches on it.

I cannot truly say that I hated every waking moment of my high school years. Though, I will add that, if given the opportunity to transfer to a different school, I would have most definitely taken it. I am overjoyous that I am finally finished here, because I know that my place in life most definitely resides somewhere else that is not Rutherford County.
